Ecommerce SEO agency Ecommerce SEO that ranks your categories and products.

Category pages, technical cleanup and product data for Google and AI shopping answers. Measured in organic revenue, not traffic.

Stop renting your traffic

What ranking is worth next to buying the same clicks.

Use your own numbers. Paid search charges for every click; a category page that ranks keeps earning them.

Estimate from your inputs

Visits a month
200
What those clicks cost in ads
A$700
Over a year
A$8,400

Rankings take three to six months to build, so this is the value once they are earned, not in month one. Not a quote.

Category pages do the heavy lifting

One annotated category page.

Most high-intent searches land on a category page, not a product page. Someone searching “organic cotton tees” wants a range to choose from. So we treat every important category as a landing page, built to rank and to sell.

Titles, copy, internal links and intent mapping all point the same way: at the searches that turn into orders.

  • Short intro copy that answers the buyer’s question
  • Filters that don’t spawn thousands of duplicate URLs
  • Internal links to sub-categories
  • An FAQ with structured data

Technical cleanup for stores

Crawl map, before and after.

Before: every filter combination crawled as its own page, out-of-stock products indexed, and duplicates competing with each other. Google spends its time on noise instead of the categories that make you money.

After: filters canonicalised, out-of-stock pages handled with a plan, one URL per product, and fast templates. Our explainer on what a technical SEO audit checks covers the full list.

  • Crawl budget and indexation
  • Faceted navigation and parameter handling
  • Duplicate and thin pages
  • Core Web Vitals on category and product templates, because slow stores lose rankings and sales

Product data for Google and AI

Schema feeds rich results and AI answers.

Structured data spells out price, ratings, availability and shipping in a language machines read. It’s what puts stars and stock status under your listing, and it’s what AI shopping answers pull from when they recommend a product.

As more shoppers ask AI what to buy, the same product data and content feed answer engine optimisation.

  • Product schema
  • Merchant listings
  • Rich results
  • AI shopping answers

Where new revenue comes from

Non-brand searches, and the content that feeds them.

People who already know your name will find you. Growth comes from the searches they make before they’ve picked a brand.

  1. Non-brand is the growth lever

Ranking for the product type, the use and the problem, not just your brand name, is where new customers come from.

  2. Buying guides and comparisons

Content hubs and buying guides capture demand higher up the funnel, then send shoppers (and authority) to the right category pages.

  3. Architecture that spreads authority

A clean category structure and internal linking push authority to the pages that make you money, not whichever page the footer happens to link.

How we work

Fix the foundation, then scale the catalogue.

We report organic revenue, not just traffic. A bigger traffic chart that doesn’t buy is a vanity metric.

  1. 01

    Store and keyword audit

Weeks 1–2. We map your catalogue to buyer searches, find the technical blockers and size the revenue on the table.

  2. 02

    Technical and architecture fixes

Weeks 2–5. Crawl, speed, faceted navigation, duplication and schema: the foundation that lets everything else rank.

  3. 03

    Category and content build

Ongoing. We optimise the commercial pages first, then add the content that captures demand and feeds them.

  4. 04

    Measure revenue and scale

Monthly. Organic revenue reported against the plan, and the play expanded across the catalogue where it pays.

When not to

When SEO isn’t the answer (yet)

Worth it when

  • People already search for your category
  • You can wait three to six months
  • The store converts the traffic it already gets

Not yet, if

  • It’s a new store with no demand yet
  • The store is slow or hard to buy from, so ecommerce web design comes first

Run Google Shopping ads first, and let SEO build behind them.

FAQ

Fair questions, straight answers

Something else? hello@imprintadvertising.com

Does Shopify limit SEO?

A little: fixed URL structures and some duplicate product paths. Most of it is fixable, and our guide to what a Shopify SEO agency should be fixing lists the usual suspects.

Does this work on WooCommerce or a custom store?

Yes. The principles are the same across Shopify, WooCommerce and custom builds; the technical execution differs. We work with your stack, and if the platform is genuinely limiting growth, we’ll tell you straight rather than force a rebuild.

How long does it take?

Technical fixes in month one, category movement in two to three months, and compounding from three to six. New stores in crowded categories take longer.

What are rich results, and why do they matter?

They’re the extra details (price, star ratings, stock) that can appear under your listing in search. They make you more visible and more clickable, often lifting click-through before anyone lands on your site.

I have thousands of products. Where do you start?

With the pages that can drive the most revenue fastest: usually your top category pages, and the technical issues holding the whole catalogue back. We prioritise by commercial impact, not alphabetical order.

Will SEO reduce my ad spend?

Over time, often yes. As organic picks up searches you currently pay for, you can shift budget or lean less on paid for the same sales. How far that goes depends on your store and market, so we’d rather show you the trend in your own numbers than promise a percentage.

Ready when you are.

No pitch deck and no lock-in contract. Just a straight answer on what to fix first.
