Local SEO services Local SEO that gets you into the map pack.
Business Profile, reviews and suburb pages, fixed in the order Google actually weighs them.
How Google picks the top three
Relevance, distance, prominence.
Once you know how it decides, the fix makes sense.
- 01
Relevance
Does your profile match what they searched? Your categories, services and the words on your site all feed it.
- 02
Distance
How close you are to the searcher. You can’t move your premises, but a properly set service area means you show up where you actually work.
- 03
Prominence
Reviews, links, mentions and activity. It’s the part you can build, which is why most of the work goes here.
Why local wins
“Near me” searches are ready to buy.
Local searches often end in a call or a visit the same day. It’s bottom-of-funnel demand: you just have to show up when it happens.
If you’re a trade, our guide to SEO for tradies covers the local basics without the jargon.
- The map pack sits above the organic results. Own a spot and you’re the default choice before a competitor gets a look-in.
- Star ratings and recent reviews win the click, and the trust.
- National brands often ignore local signals, so a smaller business can out-rank them where it counts.
- Once you rank, the calls keep coming without paying per click.
Business Profile self-check
Tick the gaps you recognise.
Each one is a reason a competitor ranks above you.
The profile isn’t verified
The primary category is a guess
Services aren’t listed
No new photos in three months
Fewer reviews than the businesses above you
Reviews go unanswered
No posts in the last month
Hours and holidays are out of date
0 of 8 gaps ticked
This is why a competitor ranks above you. Most of it is quick to fix.
Citations and NAP consistency
Your name, address and phone, the same everywhere.
Google cross-checks your business details against directories, maps and industry listings. When your name, address and phone number (NAP) disagree from one site to the next, it trusts all of them a little less.
We audit your listings, fix the mismatches and duplicates, and add you to the directories that matter for your industry and area. It’s quiet work, and a real ranking factor.
- Directory and map listings audited
- Duplicate and outdated listings merged or removed
- One consistent name, address and phone across the web
The reviews engine
Every job ends with a review request.
Reviews are your shopfront. They influence where you rank and whether people pick you over the business next to you on the map.
So we make asking a habit, not an afterthought: a request goes out automatically after every job, timed for when the customer is happiest, and every review gets a reply. It’s one of the simpler AI and automation workflows we build.
- Job marked complete
- Review request sent by SMS or email
- New review answered, good or bad
Suburb pages
One page per area you actually serve.
Genuine, useful pages for each suburb or town you work in, built with real local substance (the jobs you’ve done there, the questions locals ask), never thin doorway pages that Google ignores. For an Adelaide trade business, the service area might look like this.
- Norwood
- Unley
- Glenelg
- Prospect
- Burnside
- Marion

When not to
When local SEO isn’t the answer (yet)
Worth it when
- You can wait a few months
- You serve a defined area
- People search for what you do, near where you do it
Not yet, if
- You need calls this week
- Your website can’t turn a visit into a call, so a lead generation website comes first
Need calls sooner? Run Google Ads for service businesses while local SEO builds.
Can I rank without a shopfront or a public address?
Yes. Google needs a genuine local presence, either an address or a defined service area, but a service-area business can hide its address and still rank. We work out the right setup for your business in the audit, and our guide to a Google Business Profile without an address walks through it.
What if I serve multiple suburbs or have multiple locations?
That’s exactly what local SEO scales to. Each physical location gets its own profile and its own page. For a service area, we build a genuine, useful page for each suburb or town and expand one area at a time. Never thin, spammy doorway pages, which Google ignores or penalises.
How long does it take?
First movement in weeks, usually from profile and review fixes. Consistent map pack results for competitive terms take three to six months, depending on how crowded your area is. We set milestones up front and report against them monthly.
How important are reviews, really?
Very. They influence both your ranking and whether people click you over a competitor. We make earning them a repeatable habit, with a request after every job, rather than something you remember once a year.
Do you guarantee a top-three spot?
No. Google is the referee, and anyone promising a set position is guessing. What we commit to is the work, the transparency and a straight monthly report.
What do I get each month?
Profile updates, review management, citation fixes, new or improved suburb pages, and a plain-English report: calls, direction requests, enquiries and map pack positions, what we did and what’s next.
Ready when you are.
No pitch deck and no lock-in contract. Just a straight answer on what to fix first.
